Building a Legacy Together

BUILDING A LEGACY TOGETHER
THE CAMPAIGN
To sustain these plans, philanthropic support totaling $6 million is needed to fund construction costs and to bridge the planned operating gap until the Center is operating at capacity.
This summer the Campaign reached the 50% mark with thanks to leadership gifts from our Board of Directors and Chairman’s Council members as well as institutional funders including The New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Howard Gilman Foundation, New York Community Trust, Booth Ferris Foundation, Mertz Gilmore Foundation, Alice Lawrence Foundation, Zlotoff Generations Fund, and the Gordon and Harriet Greenfield Foundation. An additional $3 million is now needed in philanthropic investments to reach our goal.
The Campaign for the RIOULT Dance Center is the first capital campaign in the history of the Company enabling us to establish a permanent home for RIOULT Dance NY and a Dance Center for the community. To achieve this goal it will require supporters to invest in the campaign with multi-year pledges and gifts at inspirational levels.
“The opening of the RIOULT Dance Center marks a significant milestone in the history of this company,” said Hope Greenfield Chairman of the RIOULT Dance NY Board of Directors. “We have long sought a permanent home for our professional company of dancers and we can now proudly offer the Queens and greater New York City arts communities a world-class dance facility and school for performance, teaching and rehearsal.”
While the doors to the studio open in October much work remains to both fit out the black box theater and grow programming within the space and the community. “We are delighted to have reached the halfway point toward meeting our Campaign goal in under two years,” said Harsha Murthy and Jill Scheuer, RIOULT Campaign Co-Chairs. “We look forward as we move out of the quiet phase of the campaign to others joining us in reaching our goal and supporting the exciting dance, education, and community programs that the Center will offer.”
